Donna Peberdy is a doctoral candidate in the Institute of Film Studies at the University of Nottingham, UK. Entitled Wounded Men: Masculinity Crisis Narratives in Contemporary American Film, Donna's PhD thesis examines the prominence of a discourse of crisis besetting American men since the early 1990s and how this discourse has been adopted in film through gendered performances.
