Vivian Sobchack

Professor Vivian Sobchack lectures in film studies in the School of Theatre, Film and Television at UCLA. She has published widely in the area of cinema studies, philosophy, critical theory and cultural studies. Her books include The Address Of The Eye: A Phenomenology Of Film Experience (Princeton University Press, 1992) and Screening Space: The American Science Fiction Film (Rutgers University Press, 1997).
