Simon Howson has a PhD in Screen and Media from Flinders University, South Australia. His thesis was on the visual style of Hollywood widescreen films made in CinemaScope, Panavision, and Techniscope. He is a tutor in media at the University of Adelaide and communications at the University of South Australia.
