María Villar & Andreas Fontana

Maria Villar holds a degree in acting from the University of Arts (UNA). She has established a prominent presence in both film and theater. Throughout her career, Maria has received multiple accolades for her performances. Notably, she won awards at Bafici 2010 for Lo que más quiero directed by Delfina Castagnino, at both Bafici 2013 and Fesaalp 2013 for Viola by Matías Piñeiro, and at the Mar del Plata Film Festival 2020 for Isabella, also directed by Matías Piñeiro. Currently, Maria is involved in two theatrical productions: El sonido, written and directed by Javier Daulte, and Cualquier jardín es Rusia entera, which she wrote herself and is directed by Gabi Saidón. Additionally, her first short film, El día interrumpido, is in the post-production stage. She is also preparing to start filming a new project in August, directed by Matías Piñeiro and based on texts by Petrarch. Andreas Fontana is a director and screenwriter based in Switzerland. His first feature film, Azor, shot in Argentina and written in collaboration with Mariano Llinas, was presented at the 71st Berlinale in the Encounters section, and was picked as one of the 10 best films of 2021 by The New York Times and The Guardian.
