Lisa Purse is Associate Professor in Film in the Department of Film, Theatre & Television at the University of Reading. She is the author of Digital Imaging in Popular Cinema (EUP, 2013) and Contemporary Action Cinema (EUP, 2011) and her work has been published in, among others, Screening Women (2011), American Hollywood: Directory of World Cinema (2011), Film Moments: Critical Methods and Approaches (2010), Cinephilia in the Age of Digital Reproduction: Film, Pleasure and Digital Culture Volume 1 (2009), and the journal Film Criticism.
