Athena Bellas is a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. Her dissertation explores the use of sensuous fairy tale aesthetics in contemporary teen-girl screen media. She is currently co-editing an issue of Refractory, a peer-reviewed screen journal published by the School of Culture and Communications at the University of Melbourne.
