Max Bowens & Candice Strongwater

Max Bowens is a filmmaker and PhD Candidate in the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies at Harvard University. His scholarship focuses on the relationship between art and biometrics. Publications include Third Text, Media+Environment, Film-Philosophy, and a chapter in Cinématérialismes: Nouvelles approches matérialistes de l’audiovisuel. Candice Strongwater is an independent curator whose work engages the intersections of contemporary art and human rights. She is Senior Manager of Research and Curatorial Initiatives at SITU Research, a visual investigations practice. Strongwater holds an M.A. from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College and a B.A. in Film Studies from Muhlenberg College.
